The 2017/2018 festive season was a harvest moment, for musicians who were able to bring out fine records for the populace during the year.
Among these musicians who reaped most of their seed(s) they sowed in the year was Ghanaian musician Ebony — she was billed on almost every mega event during this period.
The ‘Maame Hwɛ’ hitmaker who was a headline act for a January 2 event in Hohoe in the Volta Region failed to attend the show despite being GHC35,000.
Reacting to this, CEO of K Monsi Ventures, Mr Francis Yaw Afari has revealed that his office will sue the “90s Bad Gyal” for failing to attend the concert.
Mr Afari also mentioned Ebony‘s team called his team, just some few hours to the program to inform him about an accident involving the musician.
“On the day of the show, everything was on point until we were told late that Ebony was involved in a motor accident between 5:30 to 6 pm. Therefore we agreed to refund the money to the audience because the place was packed. It was 30cedis. We paid everyone. We paid her 35,000 Ghana Cedis to perform,” he told Ibrahim Ben Bako on The Red Carpet Show on Joy Prime.
“Ebony took us for granted and it shouldn’t be so. We will go to court. We are suing her,” he added..
Asked whether there was any piece to prove the authenticity of the alleged accident, he stated that “there was nothing like that. No pictures, videos to confirm the accident.”
The RuffTown Records act is currently promoting her maiden Bonyfied album, which she launched in December 2017.
