Ghana’s tourism sector has received massive boost in recent times.
This comes as a result of definitive plans and actions put in place by the Tourism, Arts & Culture, and its agencies.
Speaking at the State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2019 on Thursday, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo revealed the government has secured some funds to boost the sector.
According to him, it is a $40 million grant which was acquired from World Bank.
He added that its acquired to support the sector Ministry, and its agencies in order to upgrade tourist facilities across the country.
“President Akufo-Addo also revealed that “the World Bank has approved a $40 million grant to support the Tourism Ministry and its agencies to help upgrade tourist facilities,” he stated.
In a related development, two theatres in Kumasi and Koforidua, respectively are expected to be completed soon.
