No beef but your songs are poorly mixed – Appietus tells Shatta Wale

Award winning and ace sound engineer Appiah Dankwa known in showbiz circles as ‘Appietus’ has disclosed on THE PROFILER with Kwame Owusu Danso on Hitz103.9fm that his slogan ‘Appietus in the mix’ was inspired by Shatta Wale formerly called: Bandana.

According to Appeitus he was recording with Bandana now Shatta Wale one day and he was calling him (Appietus) to check something for him but Appiah did not hear him well.  Appietus said: ‘I asked him what the issue was and he shouted: ‘Appietus’ with a deep voice’. ‘So i liked the voice and later added the mix which is a normal effect, to it, he noted.

Appietus also added that even though Ghanaian musicians are doing well, they need to work on their mixing. The sound mixing is very bad and below standard.  ‘Most of the songs in the system now are poorly mixed and needs to worked on’ – Appietus.
