Read: Biography Of Jamaican Artiste Hitdan

The artiste known as Hitdan, emerged from humble beginnings in the area of Kingston, Jamaica known as Waterhouse.  His performance style is referred to as hardcore, fiery and powerful.  His high lyrical content, confidence, and strong stage presence are trademarks of this engaging performer.

Even as a small child, he was drawn to music and would listen as his parents, Amy Newell and George Wedderburn, played both classic music and the hits of the day.   Born on August 1, 1990, his earliest influences were the superstars of the 90s, Shabba Ranks, Buju Banton, Super Cat and Capleton.

A child prodigy, he started writing songs at the tender age of 9 years old.  However, it wasn’t until he was literally trapped in the aura created by the Dancehall Champion, Shabba Ranks at Bay Farm Villas, that he knew music was his destiny.

Throughout his career as a student, music was an integral part of Hitdan’s life.  While attending St. Patrick’s Primary School, he was already becoming proficient in writing songs.  In 2007, while attending St. George’s College, he further explored his talent by recording professionally, on a daily basis with his schoolmates.  By 2008, when he first started college, for his degree in business, he was already recording official releases.

Hitdan has his eyes set on etching his name in the long list of dancehall legends from his home of Waterhouse, including King Tubbys, Black Uhuru, Wailin

g Souls, Half Pint, Jammys and Bobby Digital.

Coming from the birthplace of these legends, Hitdan was well positioned to pursue his career in music.  He found his first musical home in 2009 with Undagrung Musik Group (UMG), operated by Ardo Wright a.k.a. John Naddo.  His first songs recorded with UMG were Time Fi Shine Now and Full Flight.

Since his initial release, he has collaborated with many labels, including, Time Unit Music, Warriorz Muzic, Crush A Lot Entertainment, High Expectations Music and El Toro from St. Petersberg, Russia.  His catalog of work, which includes his Pagan a Work Hard, On 24/7, Party, and Gotta Get Paid have created a strong and loyal local following.

In order to expand his career, Hitdan has joined forces with KM Entertainment.  Under the direct guidance of KM Entertainment CEO Kamica Moore, Hitdan is prepared to launch his music to the next level.    Inquiries concerning bookings, dubs and voicing should be directed to KM Entertainment at:
