Shatta Wale’s ‘After the Storm’ Album: Massive Crowd Welcomes Historic Launch

Shatta Wale ‘After the Storm’ Launch

Shatta Wale has finally introduced his much-talked about album, ‘After The Storm’ to music lovers for the first time and it has by far been one of the best album launches in the history of Ghana music.

The thrilling event which was held at the Independence Square in Accra, Ghana on Friday recorded an extremely large number of audience [not far off 45,000].

Even before the man of the night assume stage, Starr 103.5 FM Disc Jockey, DJ Vyrusky was on the turntable to get the place animated.

At exactly 12.03am, the Shatta Movement Records (SM4LYF) act finally appeared on stage clad in an angel-inspired costume. He appeared from the hill-like prop mounted on stage and eventually started the first session of his performance with a live band.

The second session of his performance saw him perform music selections from DJ Vyrusky. The launch of the 22-track ‘After The Storm’ album also saw him perform the controversial ‘Bie Gya’ song in the ‘adldas’ hoodie which was used for the video [yes he promised he will do it].

During a somewhat documentary of Shatta, he addressed the assertion of some people that he is arrogant by stating “if I was tagged arrogant and Guinness still signed me then it means the business is about numbers.”

At the launch to support him was his father, Mr. Charles Nii Armah Mensah Snr. popularly known as Shatta Capo as well as Okay 101.7 FM presenter, Abeiku Santana.

The stage was a befitting one for the show; the nature of the design ensured every single object on stage was visible.
