Former Director of Finance and Administration of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Kwadjo Opare-Hammond is dead.
He is reported to have died on at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Friday January 11, 2019 where he was on admission receiving treatment after a short ailment.
Details of what caused his death still remain sketchy but the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Adenta Constituency worked at the NPP headquarters before he was relieved of his duties in 2014.
Upon assumption of the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration, he was appointed the Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC) in 2017
Under his reign, the PMMC and the Ghana Royal Gold Limited Company entered into a partnership to construct a state-owned gold refinery which is expected to create 1000 jobs in 2019.
The family is yet to officially announce his death to the presidency and the party.
